Aly Hazelwood

Trinity (Texas) added Aly Hazelwood to its women’s volleyball coaching staff as an assistant. Hazelwood played for the Tigers, graduating in 2009 with a bachelor of arts in English. Most recently, Hazelwood was an assistant volleyball coach at Marietta.

Other transactions

Athletics directors – Muhlenberg appointed Corey Goff as its director of athletics. Goff has been with the department since 2003 and an associate AD since 2008. Goff is also the institution’s head baseball coach, a role he will relinquish following the 2012 season.

Associate athletics directors – Hiram head women’s volleyball coach Ellen Dempsey is stepping down from her position to become an associate director of athletics. Dempsey, who coached the volleyball squad for 11 seasons, will maintain her designation as the institution’s senior woman administrator.


Football – Ohio Wesleyan head football coach Mike Hollway will retire after 25 seasons at the helm. Defensive coordinator Pat Delaney will serve as interim head coach … Toledo interim head football coach Matt Campbell will assume the Rockets’ head coaching position. Campbell, 32, spent three seasons as the team’s offensive coordinator and offensive line coach previously.

Football assistants – Texas Tech dismissed offensive line coach Matt Moore and defensive backs coach Otis Mounds. The Red Raiders also reassigned defensive line coach Sam McElroy to another position. Terry Price and John Lovett were hired as defensive assistants.

Men’s and women’s lacrosse assistants – Saint Michael’s named Craig MacDerment assistant men’s lacrosse coach. MacDerment recently completed his playing career at Castleton, graduating in 2011.

Men’s and women’s volleyball – Kristen Bauer resigned as head women’s volleyball coach at Coastal Carolina. Bauer held the position for 13 years.


Athletics communications – Saint Michael’s hired Tucker Labare as its athletics communications intern.


San Diego State will join the Big West Conference in all sports but football. The Aztecs will officially become the league’s eleventh member on July 1, 2013.
